- 8 MWsteam turbine
- 40 t/hof steam at 40 barg and 450 °C
- ~1,450I/O channels
- V7.0 SP2Siemens PCS 7 version
The Villacañas plant (Toledo) generates electricity from biomass: a wood-fired steam boiler with a gasifier produces 40 t/h of steam at 40 barg and 450 °C for an 8 MW turbine. In 2009 we implemented the plant’s Siemens PCS 7 control system for Biomasa Berkes, with eight ET 200M I/O stations.
Control architecture
- CPU 416-2 DP controller with Profibus DP and Ethernet communications
- Eight ET 200M stations with digital and analogue inputs and outputs
- Two Profibus DP networks: one for the I/O and one for the drives and starters of the fans and dosing screws
- Stack gas analyser integrated over Modbus through a Profibus gateway
- AS/OS engineering and operator station
