MIESA develops the process analysis systems for the new low sulphur fuel lines at La Pampilla

Repsol Peru was undertaking an important project for the production of low-sulphur fuels at its La Pampilla refinery (El Callao) with two clear objectives: to improve the quality of the fuels and reduce their environmental impact.

To achieve this, it had to adapt its facilities to the specifications required by the production units for this type of fuel.

MIESA was the engineering company selected to carry out this important task.

Customised analyser systems

At MIESA we were responsible for the calculation, design, installation and commissioning of the process analysis systems by chromatography, UV analysers and others in the new low-sulphur fuel lines.

The biggest challenge we faced was to obtain accurate and repeatable measurement to ensure optimal process results. But, thanks to our extensive experience in the Oil&Gas industry, we responded successfully and according to the strict standards of the Repsol group in less time than scheduled.

Specifically, 2 analyser cabinets were manufactured with all their safety systems, totalling 15 analyser systems. This required prior documentation and design processes, as well as subsequent testing of all analyser systems.

A 100% MIESA project

It is important to note that this project was developed entirely by MIESA staff. This strategic decision allowed us to maintain absolute control over the process, avoid external dependencies and guarantee compliance with the established deadlines.

Our ability to design and implement customised process analysis solutions makes us a strategic partner for companies seeking to optimise their operations and reduce their environmental impact.
