The plant, equipped with innovative technologies, will prepare future engineering professionals in the management and optimization of complex industrial processes.

Thanks to this initiative, the university will have the latest technologies to prepare its students from the School of Engineering in tools and systems that are used today in the industry. The industrial plant, which is located in the laboratory area, will allow students to practice with professional equipment and train them in the technologies they will encounter tomorrow in the workplace.

The University of Deusto has entrusted MIESA with this ambitious project because it is a reference engineering company with extensive experience in the development of industrial plants for sectors such as oil & gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, paper, food, energy and environment.

Experience real industry processes

The industrial plant designed by MIESA emulates the operation of petrochemical plants in purification systems. It is equipped with dozens of sensors and multiple pumps that generate large volumes of data, providing the capacity for precise monitoring and control and the development of industrial data processing algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI) applications.

The installation will also be used to teach industrial safety since, by simulating potentially hazardous processes, it will be possible to identify risks and apply the necessary safety measures.

Highly qualified alumni

The implementation of this industrial model at the University of Deusto provides a realistic environment where students can apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom and where they will experience first-hand the behavior of industrial systems under different operating conditions.

In addition, working with automation and control components such as PLCs, sensors and actuators, highly demanded in the labor market, will favor the development of key technical skills for their professional future.

At MIESA we collaborate with different educational institutions in the training of the next generation of engineers, so that they can design and participate in safer and more efficient industrial environments.
